The 2015 Latino Behavioral Health Symposium focused on having participants increase their awareness of cultural nuances, beliefs, and experiences of the Latino populations and how they impact behavioral and emotional health at the individual, family and community levels.

4th LBHC Symposium (2014)

The focus of this symposium was on understanding the epidemiology of mental illness, evidence-based practices, and outcomes. Participants were geared to clinically applicable algorithms, including an in-depth look at the current literature on new patterns of mental and emotional health issues in the Latino population and cultural competence on Psychiatric Rehabilitation, Resilience, and Recovery.

3rd LBHC Symposium (2013)

This symposium focused on understanding and delve into the mental and emotional health issues that are faced by the Latino communities and, as service providers, work towards effective ways to understand, support, and offer services to the community that is strengths-based, use best practices and, focus on recovery and resiliency.

2nd LBHC Symposium (2012)

This symposium addressed the challenge and the problem of Mental Health among the Latino community and included topics such as Cultural Elements in Treating Latino populations and Growing up in a Latino Community. This symposium offered an opportunity for regional consumers, caregivers, professionals, managers and academics and researchers to share ideas, access professional development opportunities, and engage in networking and debate.
