This conference, which will be held November 15 & 16, 2023, serves as a vital platform for exchanging ideas and information, fostering meaningful relationships between mental health providers, policymakers, educators, and all other stakeholders. We are particularly focused on sharing experiences of the Dominican people and raising awareness of mental health challenges within the broader Latino community.

The LBHC is a collective of eight organizations dedicated to providing mental health services to Latinos in Philadelphia. With a population of 1.6 million, of which 15.4% are of Hispanic or Latino origin, Philadelphia represents a vibrant Latino community. Among the Hispanic groups, Dominicans form the second largest population and are continuously growing.

A primary focus of the conference is to address the stigma that is often associated with mental health services, acting as a significant barrier to treatment in Latino communities. We firmly believe that by nurturing diverse perspectives and promoting open dialogue, we can effectively reduce this stigma and elevate mental health and emotional well-being as fundamental components of overall health throughout one's lifespan.

As a sponsor, your organization will be recognized as a leader in promoting mental health awareness and providing crucial support to the Latino community.
